Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the end of another year.  It has been exciting to watch your children grow physically and develop intellectually.  Over the course of the year, your children have engaged in an incredible variety of learning experiences both in the classroom and beyond.    I delight in watching the scouts tying knots, seeing students practicing the abacus and calligraphy, observing older grade students role playing in culture lab, going on extended hikes with students and the list could go on and on.  KUHS is proud of the of the richness of its program which provides students with the skills so important both for higher education and for  life – critical thinking, creativity, the ability to work collaboratively and problem solve.

Even before this year is over, the staff is preparing new and exciting activities for the 2076 academic year.

We have also made a policy change with respect to uniforms.  Beginning with the New Year, girls in grades 6 and above have the choice of wearing either skirts or pants.   Girls have requested this option as it is much easier to play and be active when wearing pants.  All students will continue to wear tracksuits two days a week, on the days they have sports instead of the current policy of wearing track suits on Tuesday and Thursday.

Thank you for entrusting your children to us.  It has been a pleasure to have them with us and we eagerly look forward to seeing all your children again on April 23.  And please, do make sure they have books to read over the break.
