FIRST TERM EXAMS RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. All school rules must be observed throughout the entire exam.
  2. Students go home as per the Schedule mentioned in the Newsletter.
  3. Students are required to bring their own writing and mathematical instruments. No borrowing, lending or exchange of any materials is allowed during the exam period.
  4. Absentees must produce original medical certificates from approved clinics or hospitals. No parents’ letter will be accepted. Students who are absent without valid reasons will be given a “0” for the paper.
  5. A student will be given “0” if he or she is caught cheating in the exam.
  6. Students must not talk, whisper, do hand signal or any other form of verbal or non-verbal communication during the exam. Such actions will be considered as having the intention to cheat.
  7. Students must be seated as per the seat plan.
  8. Students who are late will not be given extra time.
  9. Only essential writing materials are allowed on the student’s desk. All bags, books and any unauthorized materials should be left at the front of the classroom.
  10. Students must have admit card of the examination.

DURING THE EXAM

  1. Students are to follow any instructions given by the invigilators and instructions stated on the question paper.
  2. Students are advised that good time management is essential. They should not spend too much time on few questions and leave no time for others.
  3. Students are advised to read the questions carefully. No marks are awarded for information not asked for in the questions.
  4. Students should write their answers legibly in blue ink. Pens or pencils of other colours may be used for maps and diagrams only.
  5. You will not be allowed to leave the exam room during the exam if the duration of exam is less than 90 minutes.
  6. If you have any difficulty with the exam paper, raise your hand and wait for the invigilator to respond.
  7. The invigilator will not answer any questions about the exam once it has started.
  8. You will be allowed to go outside (maximum 2 minutes) during exam if the exam duration is more than 90 minutes.
  9. All the additional papers have to be stitched 15 minutes before the exam ends.
  10. Students are allowed to submit the answer sheet only 15 minutes earlier if the exam duration is 2 hours and half an hour earlier if the exam duration is 3 hours.
  11. Exam starts before lunch for seniors (Classes 7 to 10) and after lunch for juniors (Classes 1 to 6)
