Congratulations to all the students who have been selected for admission 2081 BS.
We welcome all new students and parents to the school community, and we would like to take this opportunity to pass on some important information.
- The school has worked out an orientation schedule for new parents. We request you to attend along with your son or daughter at the specified time and place.
- The school will communicate its rules and regulations at the time of the orientation programme.
- The new Academic Session 2081 BS commences from 11th Baisakh 2081 B.S. Hostel children (Boarders) must come fully prepared to stay in the hostel on the orientation day itself. (They must have all the requirements enlisted in the checklist provided by the school.)

Book List 2081 For Class 1 to Class 10

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The Book List of Class 1 to 10 for Academic Session 2081 has been finalized.
The students admitted until 2078 will receive the books and stationery from the school whereas the students who were admitted in 2079, 2080 and in 2081 in Class 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and few others in other classes have to buy the books on their own but we will provide the copies from Class 6 to Class 10. For Class 1 to Class 5 the school will provide the stationery.
For the students’ convenience, we have authorized the bookshop in Banepa (New Pragati Pustak Bhandar, Banepa, 011-661590) but you can buy the books anywhere.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we approach the end of another academic year, we find ourselves reflecting on the journey we’ve embarked on together and the incredible growth and success we’ve achieved as a school community.
First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support throughout the year. Your commitment to your children’s education and your active involvement in our school have been instrumental in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for our students to thrive.
Together, we’ve witnessed countless achievements, both big and small, from academic milestones to personal triumphs. Whether it was attending the PT meetings, meetings in the result days or your personal calls and feedback and suggestions, your dedication has not gone unnoticed.
On behalf of the entire school administration, we want to express our deepest appreciation for your continued support and partnership. Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children and thank you for being such valued members of our school community.
We look forward to working together in year ahead.
RESULTS DAY
The final results of the academic year 2080 will be on Thursday, 4th April, 2024 (Chaitra 22, 2080) between 9 am to 12 noon. We kindly request the parents / guardians to come, collect the results and communicate with the teachers about the child’s performances. However, Class 8 and 10 parents need not come since they have other exam schedules. national exams.
Hostelers are requested to take all their belongings on the result day as we need to do a lot of repair and maintenance during the break. All the dues through Chaitra 2080 must be cleared in order to receive your child’s results. Children are also requested to return all library books.
WITHDRAWAL
It is my sincere hope that no student will feel the need to leave our school at the end of this session. Our doors are always open, and we are here to address any concerns or challenges that students may face. We believe in providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every individual can thrive and reach their full potential.
I urge all parents and guardians to have open communication with us if there are any issues or uncertainties regarding their child’s education. Together, we can work towards finding solutions and ensuring that every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
However, if you are going to withdraw your child for some specific reasons, please inform us by Chaitra 30, 2080. If you have any queries, please let us know either by email ([email protected]) or a phone call. You can even talk directly with the Principal or the Vice-Principal.
REGISTRATION
We are pleased to inform you that the school does not charge any annual fees once the student is admitted. However, we kindly request you to deposit the monthly fee for Baishak as the confirmation that your child continuing the school. There is no change in the fee structure for the academic year 2081. It will remain the same as in 2080.
NEW ACADEMIC SESSION
The new academic session begins on Tuesday, Baishak 11, 2081. We expect all the students to arrive at school with a complete set of their belongings. The hostelers have to arrive in their respective hostels on 10th Baisakh between 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. There will be no bus services available for hosteller on 11th Baisakh, 2081.
UNIFORMS
All the hostel and day students must come with a complete set of uniforms. We would also like to request that you to stitch the registration number in uniforms permanently. If students fail to come with a complete set of uniforms, they will be not allowed to stay in hostel. Please do not send winter clothes right now.
The uniforms are available at Kewal’s Uniform, NewRoad, Kathmandu (01-4259121) and Sampurna Uniform House, Banepa (011-661072). Please visit school website www.kuhs.edu.np for the further details.

The school offers exceptional educational nurturing in the pristine air of a beautiful hilltop setting. Application form has to be filled only for Class 1 (day scholars) and Class 4, 5 and 6 (hostellers).
As per the admission policy for Class 1 issued by Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Nepal Government, there will be other criteria for the selection of Class 1. You will be notified for further processes as per the seat availability.
Please make sure that the applicant meets the following criteria for Class 1:
Age: 5½ – 6½ by Baisakh 2081.

On this auspicious occasion of Happy Vijaya Dashami, 2080, we extend our warmest greetings to you and your family. May this festival of joy and togetherness bring abundant blessings, happiness, and prosperity to your homes.
Just as Dashain signifies the triumph of good over evil, may your family always find the strength to overcome life’s challenges and cherish the moments of love and unity. Your support and involvement in your child’s education are greatly appreciated, and we are grateful to have you as part of our school community.

Dashain Vacation
As a reminder Dashain’s vacation begins from 29th Ashwin (October 16, 2023) and school resumes from Kartik 13 (October 30, 2023).
Winter Uniform
It gets colder in Dhulikhel mainly in the morning and evening of November. You are requested to manage winter uniform namely woolen sweater, cap, muffler, fleece and warm inner clothes. You are kindly requested to contact Kewal’s Uniform, Newroad or Sampurna Uniform, Banepa. The school has a strict policy not to allow any students in out dresses.
Fee Payment
Parents are requested to deposit the monthly school fee up to Kartik at the earliest as you have been informed earlier through the software system. If there is any old due remaining, please clear it as earliest as possible. This is a period in which income decreases and expenditure increases.
Article Writing
We would like to request all the students to write an article during this Dashain vacation. These articles will be published in the KUHS review. The articles should be children’s own creative writing and have to be sent to their respective class teacher’s email addresses.
Nippon School Visit
About a month ago the students from Nippon University in Japan came to our school. They came here to do fun activities with us and learn about Nepal and its culture. They were really sweet, kind, fun loving, and really energetic.
There were so many students that we lost track of their names. They taught us some really cool dance moves, and some super fun games. They encouraged us to play and have fun. Overall, they were really nice and outgoing. Although, it was sad when they left, we had a great time with them. We think they also found it very enjoyable.

Joint School One Act Play
On September 29, we had ‘One Act Play’ in St. Xavier’s, Godawari. Our school had 15 participants and 20 audience into the programme. We were nervous when we got to the stage. We did our best to show our dramas. Our drama was about discrimination and the moral was ‘Do not discriminate others’. We learned many new morals and was very inspiring. Finally, we got the certificate and we returned back to our respective school. We hope to participate in this kind of activities in the future as well.

8th Dorje Lakpa Hub Convention on SQC
Finally, we arrived to show our effort and preparation which we had been waiting eagerly was the day 1st October, 2023. We arrived in our school and had a delicious breakfast. After that, we stated doing allocated different responsibilities for the preparation of the program. Some were busy in stage decoration while some of our friends were helping in fixing banners. At around 10:30 am, our Chief Guest of the program arrived. There were significant number of delegates from QUEST Nepal, PABSON and participants from different schools. We were glad to see Prof. Dinesh Chapagain, the Father of SQC in our school. Our friends performed SQC songs, dances and presented moral case study.
In a single day, our friends participated in various competitive events like quiz, arts and collage, story forming along with various workshops like slam poetry, meditation and refreshing Zumba dance. The beautiful part of the program was that all the events were carried out in collaborative form which aligned with the motto of SQC i.e. “Collaborate with others and compete with yourself”. Case studies presentations prepared by different circles from different schools were also the main events of the programme.
Program ended with award distribution for the awardees from the different competitive events, and the most happy part was that all the schools participating in the hub convention received awards for their performances in competitive events. Overall, we had beautiful memories and reaped benefits of collaborative learning which reflects the 21st century learning skills.

Community Service Programme at Manav Sewa Ashram
The four students of Grade 9, Nirvana Maharjan, Samyam Pokharel and us, along with a grade 6 student; Shambhavi Sapkota visited “Manav Sewa Kalyan Sanstha Ghar” of Kavre on 17th of Aswin, 2080 B.S. Our Joint school members also participated and contributed in this humanitarian community service program with their physical, financial and humble support. Once we reached there, we were greeted by the founder; Sumi Manav and her team with a welcoming speech which included the flourishment of the organization and moral values. Then, we entertained the elderly people by showcasing our cultural aspects through performances. After the performances, we enjoyed with them by playing some joyful games.
We were also honored to know about their individuality personally. By participating in such activities, we got to learn and they also get to share. Therefore, we would like to participate more in such activities in the future and thank the school for organizing such a heartwarming activity.

Joint School Table Tennis Tournament
On 12th of September, we (Class 6 to 10) had our Joint School Table Tennis Tournament at Lainchaur, Kathmandu. We departed from school at early 8 o’clock in the morning, then reached our destination at 11 am. There were 6 different Joint school’s participants.
We had our lunch as soon as we reached National Table Tennis association. The game started at 11:30am after we had our morning assembly. The match had altogether 3 sets and 4 quarters. We were very nervous as well as excited. We all got certificate for participation.
We had a great time and got to experience the rawness and excitement of the matches. The matches were very arduous yet. We were all fueled up for the tournament. We made many friends and had great experiences.

Outdoor School Students’ Australia Visit to KUHS
After all the preparations we started a few months ago, we were so overwhelmed to welcome our lovely guests from Outdoor School, Australia on 19th of September and also enthusiastic to spend our next four days with them.
On the very first day, we began our journey towards Hotel Moonlight where our guests were staying after they arrived to Nepal. We were a group of 11 students from KUHS along with some of our teachers. We reached to the hotel to welcome our guests, had some talk about their journey to Nepal from Australia and moved towards ICIMOD knowledge park where we got opportunity to learn about farming, traditional technologies and different weather forecasting apparatus. After that, we headed towards Australian Embassy, Nepal where the Ambassador HE Felicity Volk welcomed our guests to Nepal. And the day was about to end and four of us who were hosting homestay for the guests welcome our respective groups to our home which was the most exciting part of the students exchange program.
Homestay was a new experience for each and every one of us as we got the chance of sharing our culture, lifestyle and food with those people who were completely stranger for us (just had few conversations on messenger). But thankfully, we were able to adjust everything and gave our best for their comfort and they also cooperated so easily even though it was tough for them to adjust with a completely new lifestyle.
Another day began excitingly. Our guests were warmly welcomed to our school. Everyone’s face was filled with excitement as we had plans for different outdoor activities and interactive sessions with them. Each and every as activities were making us closer and letting us know more about each other’s culture. We also visited the Statue of Lord Shiva, Sanga which was also a memorable part. Again, back to homestay which continued every day.
Next day our day was completely related to social service with the assistance of Rotary club of Panauti. We had a short visit to Banepa as well as some historical sites of Panauti where we got to enjoy delicious Newari food. On the same day, we went to visit the statue of Buddha at Dhulikhel which had already been closed unfortunately. But we enjoyed our time on the woods and stairs.
The last day was a bit sad because we didn’t want to say goodbye to our friends. We had a informative session about climate change at Kathmandu University and also about Nepalese culture and history. After that we headed towards our school for lunch followed by farewell program to our guests. And that was the time for goodbye with our heavy heart and eyes welled up.
Overall, we had an incredible time with them and got precious opportunity to learn about Australia and also to share about our lifestyle. We created memories for lifetime and also look forward to strengthen our friendship and turn it into a strong bond.
